Have you ever seen a wild, cottontail rabbit act like a statue with a wiggly nose? We have a lot out here. So, this short Readers Theater poem shares one encounter. Although "Brown Rabbit" readability is fairly easy, this animal Readers Theater poem is perfect for all ages, English Language Learners, Special Ed, and homeschoolers. "Clara Barton Grows Up To Be A Teacher" is the second in a series of historical scripts on Clara Barton.  (Clara Barton became famous as a battlefield nurse during the Civil War and as founder of the Red Cross.) Chronologically, this one starts with her as a teeenager.  "Clara Barton Grows Up To Be A Teacher" is the easiest of the three different reading levels on Clara Barton the teacher.  Based on books--including her own book published in 1907--this character-building script continues the role model of  Clara helping.  Complete with annotated curriculum links for easy lesson plans, "Clara Barton Grows Up To Be A Teacher" works well for primary, special ed, and ESL students or family fun.
